During the 2008 Flat Classroom Project, I learned the difference between a Social Operating System (SOS) and a Social Network System (SNS). An SOS has artificial intelligence (AI) and SNS doesn't. With AI, SOS can tell the difference among your friends, family members, and business acquaintances. I agree wholeheartedly with the statement that our generation is lucky to have these new technologies. Technology is important and we need to use what we have to make a better future. I also understand where Don Prescott was coming from when he said that our generation isn't just watching TV anymore, we are now making it.
