I've written an article about how I judged the videos here.

Design & technical quality:
I thought that this was compelling viewing: the music and images were well-chosen, and it conveyed a real sense of excitement. My only criticisms are firstly that there was too much text on the screen just after the Australian politician clip, and that it ended messily: there was a glimpse of someone for a second, for no apparent reason, and it ended very suddenly.

Synthesis and Construction of Ideas:
Well-structured, with lots of sources used. I thought some of the text (eg ipods) did not fully explore the area or convey much more than reading the wiki itself did. Also, not many of the clips were necessarily self-explanatory. However, this is a case where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Collaboration was very much in evidence. I can see myself using this video in one of my training days. Well done.

I concur! The only thing I would add is proper MLA citations at the end, but you did give credit. I like your video a lot, Lara.

Wow! what a great video!

I loved the way you took material from the other sections and brought them together.

The introduction was very effective with the title and the addition of several slides in sequence. Of course, the music you used was absolutely appropriate.

The use of the various transitions added to the impact of the vision as well as using scrolling words to reinforce the vision message and to break the vision into the 'chapters'.

Lots and lots and lots of different computing hardware and software had a huge positive impact upon the message stating that computing is everywhere.

The use of outsourced material was seamless (great).

The pace of the vision scene changes were fast and kept the attention of the viewer. The zooming in and out within scenes were also impressive.

I had yet another laugh imagining students dancing down a hallway at school.

The use of the new Australian Prime Minister was a terrific inspiration. It complimented the US Presidential race and made the video more international which reflects one of the goals of the Horizon Project. The use of the video made the artifact less North-American-centric.

A great many well know icons were used which again enhanced the quality of the vision.

This topic was more difficult to understand and conceptualise as compared to some of the other topics within the Horizon Project. You have brought everything together extremely well.

I hope you experienced fantastic self-satisfaction (and relief) in completing your multi-media artifact for this difficult project.

Well done!
