• Discuss the main social and ethical issues related to the topic and weigh up the main ideas
The main social and ethical issues with my topic is abusing the power and freedom you are given on these sites. For example on wikipedia, posting false information on as fact or on Youtube by posting rude illicit videos. Another social and ethical issue which could arise would be cyber bullying…this could be done on any the sites youtube, wikipedia and facebook. This could also be done through normal emailing. The main ideas of my topic are that websites are giving their users more and more freedom to produce what they like online. Be it books, videos, music or just sharing art or opinions. This is the maim theme of my topic the freedom of the user to be the creator.
• Propose ways to improve the student's performance and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the project
Improve the students performance it would be good to keep nagging at them to get things done. The strengths of this project are that it allows people to communicate with others around the world and be able to produce valid content online. Weaknesses… the timing…spring break was not a time to start the project everyone was on a different schedule. And not many people were that motivating and it collided with some peoples exams.

Tawney, some good points made here. I think a lot of the time during the project many students were confused about what they had to do. I am surprised by this as we always had clear instructions on the wiki. I guess they were not used to looking for instructions online, but were waiting to be told by their teacher. This project demands a shift in thinking and in approach.
Well done overall this year!
