A networking space for teachers and students of the Horizon Project 2008
Judging has started: Well done everyone!
Congratulations to all students who managed to produce a multimedia artifact in time for the judging! I have spent a few hours of the past 2 days watching these videos and tidying up wiki pages (so that it is easier for outsiders to understand what is going on). You should all be feeling a sense of relief and of achievement.
What happens now?
Well, post-project reflections are very welcome, and please post them on this Ning so we can all read them.
Also, don't forget to fill in the online post-project survey.
Some classrooms are doing student summits in Elluminate, our virtual classroom, so watch the schedule for this and try to come in and support your new friends. I know this is not always possible due to time-zone issues however I notice that on Wednesday this week there is my class in Qatar and BSGE in New York who are running class summits within 3 hours of each other. Wow!
The Awards ceremony will be held next week after the judges and teachers have made their decisions. Don't forget these awards acknowledge excellence as well as effort and commitment and understanding of the project concepts. There will be awards for the multimedia works as well as wiki's and individual students. Students are welcome to come into the Elluminate room of course and be part of the ceremony. Watch this space for time and date.
