Announcing the HP 2008 Awards Ceremony

Horizon Project in Qatar news

The Penninsula, Qatar's leading English daily paper published a short version of our orignal press release. Here is the online version. I sent them a great pic from my class but it is not in the online version....will have to check the newspaper itself. Did anyone else get local publicity?? Continue

Judging has started: Well done everyone!

Congratulations to all students who managed to produce a multimedia artifact in time for the judging! I have spent a few hours of the past 2 days watching these videos and tidying up wiki pages (so that it is easier for outsiders to understand what is going on). Attention re Appropriate Online Behaviour

As I write this I realise that sometimes appropriate behaviour in one culture is not considered appropriate in others. As a diverse group of classrooms, teachers and students we cannot all expect to be experts on this however we do need to work together and set minimum standards for everyone to adhere to. Recently some students have been taken off the Ning (banned) due to perceived inappropriate behaviour. Horizon Project 2008 Teacher Meeting February 6

Dear Horizon Project participants

Vicki and I are planning the Horizon Project 2008 and wish to invite interested people to a preliminary information sharing and discussion meeting on Wednesday February 6
