I think the Wii is a great evoluation in gaming. It has taken a huge barrier for folks (complicated controllers) and eliminated that obstacle. So, I think Wii fit is a great resource for people looking to loose weight or to incoporate the fun of games with the need for exercise. Check out my blog post Get People Moving...Have them play a video game. With some modification Wii games can possibly even be used for training or educational use like the Trauma Center. See my other blog post Learning Through Reality-based Video Games for information about that game and others that tie gaming to "real life." Another example is in another posting Game Teaches Life Saving Skills.

Tom, I don't think governments should ban specific games (or specific web site as some do). What governments should do is set up parental guidelines and enforce those guidelines but not ban games...adults should be able to watch what they want...even though, at times, some of the content is not even appropriate for adults but...hey if they want to buy it and people make it, governments shouldn't be able to ban it.
