Changing Education

I agree with Don Tapscott. The world is changing, which is also causing our education to change. Since our education is changing, how education is taught should be changed too. Today in classrooms the outside world is being brought in. All students should know how to use computers and internet safely. Students should all be learning how to collaborate with people from all over the world for a better understanding and learning experience. Textbooks will soon become a thing of the past. Students w… Continue

Horizon delicious tags

One important thing i found on my topic was wikipedia. Wikipedia gives a lot of information on collective knowledge to help me learn more about what my project is about. Another thing I found was a blog on collective knowledge. The blog helps me see what other people are saying about collective knowledge and their point of views to help my learning.

Hey again, sumner. I finally came up with an idea for our video, and i've already told maxine about it. So here's what we'll be doing:

We'll be filming scientists and doctors as they edit wiki-pages and share knowledge---- so this will be our intro. As for the rest of the video, I may just try to make a little speech or something and maybe put in some images.

It would be great if you could play the role of the doctor for this. You could dress like one and pretend to be editing a wikipage.

Contact me if you have any questions!

Hey sumner. I actually just posted a new section on our wiki about a website that helps scientists share biology-related ideas.

I really wouldn't worry too much about pictures, but i know we're in desperate need of a film. Like Maxine said, we really need some basic idea of how we're going to create our video.

Hey, I sent out a message about adding an external link on our wiki page to your ning profile, but I already did that for you...please begin working with your team on editing your page and creating your personal video. If you have any questions just let me know.

I don't think i told you before, but i'm kind of a birdwatcher and i know of one particular site that contains all sorts of collective knowledge relating to birds.

The site is http://birdingonthe.net/ and it would probably fit well under our environment topic since it relates to wildlife studies and conservation.

Tell me what you think of it!

Hey sumner, it's nice meeting you too!
sorry i didn't respond sooner, but i'm doing pretty well. I just got back from visiting cousins in wisconsin, so i'm feeling kind of refreshed right now.

I also saw the Ozmosis thing you put up on the wiki- Awesome job! :)
I think i'm going to try putting up something environment-related when i have the time.
