- Hey I'm Jamie! I live in the Chicago-land area, and have lived in the suburbs all my life.
I love music, dancing, acting, singing, playing lacrosse, running, food, sleep, family, friends, converse high tops, nail polish, pilates, being outside, writing (playwriting and poetry), and musical theatre.

Here are a list of my favorites, I don’t feel dislikes are really that necessary to state. Sorry, there’s a lot of info.
Music: Queen is my favorite band, but I also like secondhand serenade, dashboard confessional, the format, the beatles, death cab for cutie, sugarcult, all-american rejects, red hot chili peppers, maroon five, foo fighters, five for fighting, boys like girls, motion city soundtrack, hinder, coldplay, the pink spiders, red jumpsuit apparatus, my chemical romance, and many more.

TV shows: One Tree Hill, The O.C., America's Next Top Model (I hear they have it in other countries too, although obviously with a different title!), American Idol, House M.D., Beauty and the Geek, and Gossip Girl.
Movies: i am sam. white oleander. 10 things i hate about you. hairspray! center stage. save the last dance 1 &2. step up & stepup2. stick it. footloose. fame. willy wonka. running with scissors. the guardian. the notebook. a walk to remember. donnie darko. Musicals: Fame, Grease, Willy Wonka, Wonderland, Footloose, Pajama Game, Disney stuff, The Wiz, The Wizard of Oz, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Bare, & many more.
I’m involved in many activities both inside and outside of school. I’m Freshman Class President, involved in STAND(a club providing aid/awareness for the genocide in Darfur), Red Ribbon Club(AIDS awareness), Key Club(community service club), Student Advisory Board, and Student Leadership Council. I play goalie for JV Lacrosse, and sing in our freshman girls’ choir. Outside of school I dance four days a week at Russian Classical Ballet Academy and I've danced there for over ten years. I’ve also participated in over 15 plays at a local theatre.
Regarding this project I’m pretty good with different tech tools (such as the wiki) and enjoy writing. I'm also organized. I’m extremely excited to work on this project and get to know everyone! This is such a great opportunity and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. I believe my enthusiasm will help propel the project further. I’m really not sure what to expect, so I’m up for anything! :)

Writing Assignment in Need of Revision, care to help? :)
Alright, so we read the book Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and after we read it we were asked to write our own chronicle. Marquezs' style is known as Magical Realism, and is somewhat like a Surealistic painting. Basically, it is a somewhat trippy, time-warped, and eloquently detailed story; often without an ending. Hand-Shake Period
Alright, so today Mr. Morgan said that the phase of the Horizon Project we are in currently is the Hand-Shake Period. So how's that going for everyone? What are your views on the ning and project thus far? What are you looking forward to?
