Real Biology Concepts In Bioshock(?)

Besides its awesome gameplay and story... Bioshock is (slightly)... educational? In this article: http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/03/top-5-real-biol.html I found that there are five main biological topics introduced into the game: pheromones, bioethics, stem cells, splicers and plasmids. Splicers, plasmids, and pheromones are used to provide background for the events that take place in Bioshock. Who knew killing mutants could help you study for that next Bio quiz?
