This is the slide that I used for my small presentation at the BSGE summit. In the time that I presented, what I discussed was how mashups in each of the areas of impact may impact that lives of students, scientists, or people in general. During my presentation I took the opportunity to express my gratitude towards the fact that I was able to work with people from all over the world. One of my specific mentions, as it can be seen on the slide above, was about the google earth mashup from the CIA factbook that showed that the US was the largest consumer of oil. The main idea that I created for the trend of data mashups is that the relationship between different pieces of information will be seen more and more clearly, and this will allow people in general to understand the world around them better. I keep in mind that this may subsequently allow people to achieve a brighter future.
